Intro to Sport Foundations
Engagement, Motivation & Training Routines
Ever wonder how people get their dogs so excited to train?
This class is designed to introduce you and your dog to the foundations of sport training, with an emphasis on developing engagement, building motivation, and establishing a training routine that helps your dog recognize when it's time to work.
You don't need to compete in dog sports to benefit from these skills. Whether you're interested in exploring a sport or simply want a dog who's more focused and enthusiastic about working with you, this is a great place to start.

What We'll Work On
-
Engagement & Focus: Building a dog who actively wants to participate and interact with you.
-
Motivation & Rewards: Learning how to use food, toys, and play to develop enthusiasm for training.
-
Training Routines: Creating recognizable patterns and cues that help your dog understand when it's time to work.
-
Working Around Distractions: Developing the foundation for maintaining engagement in new and exciting environments.
-
Handler Skills: Learning how your timing, communication, and consistency influence your dog's performance.
Who Is This Class For?
Whether you're new to dog sports, want to improve your dog's engagement, or are already competing and want to sharpen your skills, this class helps you build a stronger, more motivated training partner.
